Check out these Sense features:
Real-Time Power Meter: Walk around the house, turn devices on and off, and see how much energy they use by looking at the Power Meter. Try unplugging a few devices too!
Energy History Trends: Don’t wait until the end of the month to see how much energy your home used. Track energy usage by day, week, month, or billing cycle in the Trends screen.
Discovered Devices list: As Sense listens to your home, it detects the energy signatures of some individual devices. Sense will often name them “motor”, “heat”, “light”, or “device” and then you can label it.
Bubbles: Visualize what devices are on right now and how much energy they are using. You can tap a bubble to view wattage, or double-tap to find out more about that device.
Timeline: The timeline shows you when things happen at home. You can customize what appears on your timeline in the Device Settings screen.
Notifications: Create custom notifications to receive alerts when a device turns on or off. Did you leave the oven on? Did the garage door open?

What is Sense?

Using Sense with solar?
With the Sense app, you can view a real-time comparison of how much energy is being used vs. how much solar is being produced. Sense Solar shows you when your home is being powered by either solar or your utility. This enables you to save money by managing your electricity usage to match your solar production.
What can I expect from Sense?
In the first few days, your Sense monitor will go through a self-check process to verify that all energy readings are accurate. Following this, you can start viewing your home‘s energy usage and solar production right away. Over time, Sense will start to recognize the usage patterns of individual devices within your home. Sense will notify you via push notification and/or email when new devices are detected. For each device that Sense discovers, you can add a name, category, and even custom notifications to let you know when it turns on or off.
